Job summary

NSA’s Linguists, MDLAs, provide translation, transcription, and analysis of foreign language materials to support SIGINT missions. LADP offers intensive training with tours across offices; direct hire into analytic roles is also possible. A minimum ILR 2/2 in the target language is required.

Candidates with language work or related analytic experience should be prepared for rigorous testing, security requirements, and potential travel as part of the NSA mission.

Qualifications

• A degree in any field is acceptable.
• At least one year of relevant experience in language work or related fields (translation, transcription, analysis) or equivalent.
• ILR level 2/2 in reading and listening for the target language.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, transcribe, translate foreign language materials.
• Engage with partners and customers across the Intelligence Community.
• Prepare written and oral assessments.
• Mentor and lead other Language Analysts.
