Job summary

Cibolo Family YMCA is seeking a Childwatch Attendant to supervise infants through pre-teens during YMCA programs. You will greet families, implement a weekly program of theme, games, stories, crafts and circle times, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment.

This role emphasizes safety, age-appropriate guidance, and positive interactions with children and parents. You’ll coordinate with staff to support the Y's mission of youth development and healthy living.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age and have at least 6 months of childcare experience.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• CPR, First Aid and AED certifications required within 60 days of hire.
• Promote caring, honesty, respect and responsibility with staff and participants.

Responsibilities

• Greet parents and children and communicate ChildWatch/Kids Club policies.
• Changes diapers as needed.
• Implements a weekly program with theme, games, stories, crafts and circle times.
• Supervise and participate with children in all activities (birth to 12 years).
• Maintain safety and report unsafe conditions to supervisor immediately.
• Complete attendance, observation and incident reports.
• Be flexible for hours outside normal schedule for events.
• Maintain required safety trainings as directed.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
