Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Montgomery is seeking a dedicated Child Watch Attendant to provide a safe, welcoming environment for children while their guardians use YMCA facilities and programs. You will supervise, engage children in age-appropriate activities, and help them feel secure and valued.

Responsibilities include greeting families, planning games and crafts, maintaining records, and ensuring positive interactions that reflect YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children preferred.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Comfortable working with multiple age groups from infants to school age.
• Able to follow directions and YMCA policies.

Responsibilities

• Active, continuous supervision of children in the YMCA Child Watch / Kids Zone program.
• Create a safe, positive, welcoming environment for children.
• Greet children and guardians, helping transitions into the program.
• Plan and participate in age-appropriate games, crafts, and activities.
• Maintain attendance, sign-in/sign-out, and program records.
• Provide excellent customer service and positive relationships with families.
