Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth is seeking a Childwatch Attendant to provide a safe, engaging environment for children in the playhouse area. You will lead activities, greet families, and maintain a clean, organized space while following YMCA policies and procedures.

Strong communication and a calm demeanor are essential for handling emergencies. Qualifications include being at least 16 years old, teamwork ability, and CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Flexible to work evenings and weekends; experience with children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children in the playhouse area at all times.
• Ensure safety by following YMCA policies and procedures.
• Conduct headcounts and monitor activities to prevent incidents.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and incidents.
• Greet parents and children on arrival/departure; communicate concerns.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized play area; sanitize toys and surfaces.
• Assist with attendance records and report needs to the Program Director.
