Job summary

Pueblo YMCA is seeking a Child Watch Attendant to supervise and engage children, build positive relationships with families, and support a welcoming community environment. The role emphasizes safety, activity planning, and alignment with YMCA values.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to provide childcare.
• Ability to relate to, supervise, and provide age-appropriate activities to children.
• Ability to communicate effectively with members, peers, and supervisor.
• Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and interacts with children at play.
• Develops positive relationships with children and parents.
• Organizes age-appropriate activities.
• Encourages member involvement and identifies potential volunteers.
• Maintains a clean and sanitized environment and returns supplies to proper places after use.
• Ensures parents sign in children and present identification.
• Follows YMCA policies, rules, and emergency procedures; completes reports as necessary.
• Attends staff meetings and trainings; obtains substitutes when needed.
• Reflects YMCA mission and values in all communication.
• Other duties as assigned.
