YMCA is seeking a Childwatch attendant to provide a safe, nurturing environment for children while families use YMCA facilities. Responsibilities include supervision, activity facilitation, check-in/out, and maintaining hygiene standards.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, 16+ age, and CPR/First Aid certifications within 60 days; training in Bloodborne Pathogens and Harassment within 30 days is also required. Flexible hours to cover mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, Oxygen certifications required within 60 days of employment.
• Bloodborne Pathogens and Sexual Harassment training within 30 days of hire.
• Commitment to YMCA mission and community service.

Responsabilités

• Provide attentive supervision to children in the Child-watch area.
• Engage children with age-appropriate activities and play.
• Verify membership and manage check-in/out with authorized guardians.
• Maintain hygiene and sanitize toys and surfaces regularly.
• Address conflicts calmly and use positive behavior guidance.
• Respond to emergencies and administer basic first aid if needed.
• Communicate updates to parents and Child-watch supervisors.
