Job summary

The State of West Virginia is seeking an entry-level Caseworker in Wayne County to participate in a structured training capacity. The role develops familiarity with Child Support Laws, regulations, policies, programs, and services of the Bureau of Child Support Enforcement (BCSE).

You will progress from beginning-level caseload processing to independent case management under supervision. Through formal classroom training and on-the-job training, you will learn to locate parents and assets,

Qualifications

Training: High school diploma or equivalent.
AND
Experience: Four (4) years of clerical and/or paraprofessional experience.
OR
Substitution: Successful completion of study from an accredited college or university may be substituted for the required experience at a rate of one (1) year of experience for thirty (30) credit hours of education.

Responsibilities

Learn to manage a caseload in the area of Child Support Enforcement under supervision.
Perform beginning level case work in processing cases and notifying non-custodial parents.
Respond to customer service inquiries and maintain confidentiality of information.
Locate parents, assets and sources of income and gather case information from various sources.
