You will learn through formal classroom training and on-the-job coaching to handle beginning level child support cases, with supervision as you develop independence.

The role emphasizes learning to locate parents, assets, and income, apply the child support formula, and respond to customer inquiries while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Four (4) years of clerical and/or paraprofessional experience.
• College credit substitutions: 30 credit hours equal one year of experience.
• Vehicle availability for continuous use may be required.

Responsibilities

• Learn to manage beginning level Child Support case work under supervision.
• Respond to customer service inquiries and maintain confidentiality of information.
• Assist with locating parents, assets, and sources of income and applying the Child Support formula.
• Gather case information from public documents, customers, and other agencies to support BCSE attorneys.
