Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Four (4) years of clerical and/or paraprofessional experience.
• Substitution: 30 credit hours may substitute for one year of experience.
• One (1) year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid professional experience as a Child Support Specialist Trainee may substitute for required training/experience.

Responsibilities

• Learn to manage a caseload in Child Support Enforcement under supervision.
• Respond to customer service inquiries and resolve less complex issues; compose routine correspondence; maintain confidentiality.
• Locate parents, assets and sources of income and calculate the Child Support formula.
