Job summary

The State of West Virginia, Bureau of Child Support Enforcement, seeks entry-level Caseworkers in Marion County (Fairmont area) to participate in formal classroom training and on-the-job instruction. You will learn to process cases, issue notices to non-custodial parents, and support enforcement actions under close supervision.

Through this training you will gain knowledge to manage a caseload, locate parents and assets, review statutes and records, and respond to customer inquiries while

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• AND Four (4) years of clerical and/or paraprofessional experience.
• Substitution: study at accredited college/university may substitute for experience at 1 year per 30 credit hours.
• Special Requirement: Availability of a vehicle for continuous use may be requisite.

Responsibilities

• Beginner level case work in processing cases and providing customer service.
• Learn to locate parents, assets and sources of income and apply the Child Support formula.
