Job summary

The Franklin County Department of Human Resources seeks a Support Officer 1 to enforce child support obligations across local, intrastate, and interstate cases. You will investigate, audit, and interview for paternity and support obligations, and interpret orders and case records.

You will prepare arrearage calculations, respond to inquiries from obligors, obligees, and agencies, verify income and assets, and maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with business administration coursework and six months of social work experience.
• Must meet background check requirements.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, audit and interview for paternity and support obligations.
• Review and interpret orders, records, case narratives and other documents.
• Prepare accurate arrearage calculations and respond to inquiries from obligors, obligees and agencies.
• Verify financial data, wage attachments and other data; maintain confidentiality.

Education

Bachelor's degree with coursework emphasis in business administration with six months of social work experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
