Job summary

YoungWilliams is seeking a Child Support Specialist to provide full services to customers at all stages of the child support process. The role includes interviewing customers by phone and in person to determine service needs and next steps in case management, while ensuring all state, federal, and contractual timelines are met for establishing or enforcing orders.

Training in child support processes is provided.

Qualifications

• Interviews customers by telephone and in person to assess service needs.
• Answers phones to assist customers and respond to requests.
• Maintains confidentiality and security of case information.
• Regular and timely attendance and reliability.
• Familiarity with office systems and basic computer use.

Responsibilities

• Initiates locate procedures such as location of customers address, employment, and assets.
• Obtains and processes information necessary for establishing the order.
• Conducts interviews with customers receiving and paying the support.
• Accesses system data and internet resources to obtain case information.
• Prepares cases and documents for review by staff attorney/supervisor.
• Files legal pleadings and adds docket numbers and court dates.
• Attends court with assigned attorney and assists in case resolution.
• Completes attorney-directed court follow-up within required time frames.
