Job summary

You will join YoungWilliams as a Child Support Specialist in Colorado Springs, handling locate, intake, establishment, enforcement, and interstate actions to establish paternity and support orders, and to collect current and delinquent child support. You will ensure compliance with state, federal, and contractual timelines and interview customers to identify legal issues.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree in related field preferred.
• Familiarity with office environment and automated systems helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assesses cases per state/federal policies and timeframes.
• Obtains and processes information for establishing paternity and support orders; enforcement as needed.
• Interviews custodial and non-custodial parents.
• Accesses system data and internet resources for case information.
• Prepares cases and documents for review by staff attorney or supervisor.
• Monitors delinquencies and modifications; takes enforcement actions.
• Calculates current support amounts and arrears.
• Ensures proper distribution of payments per regulations.
• Responds to inquiries and assists walk-in customers.
• Maintains confidentiality of case information.
