Job summary

YoungWilliams seeks a Child Support Specialist to initiate locate, intake, establishment, enforcement, and interstate actions for child support orders and collections. You will interview customers by phone and in person to determine needs and identify legal issues, working with clients through all stages of the process.

Responsibilities include calculating current support, arrears, and adjustments, and preparing required documents for review.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required per ad.
• Associate degree preferred as a higher qualification.
• Experience with state/federal policies and working with families is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist in locating non-custodial parents and establishing or enforcing child support orders.
• Interview custodial and non-custodial parents to determine service needs and issues.
• Compute current support amounts, arrears, and adjustments per guidelines.
• Prepare legal/administrative documents for review by staff attorney or supervisor.
• Maintain case records accurately and protect confidentiality.
