Job summary

The Oregon Department of Justice’s Division of Child Support is seeking a Case Intake Specialist (Office Specialist 2) in Salem, Oregon. The role involves friendly, organized handling of case openings, data entry, and communications with participants and attorneys.

Qualifications

• Two years of general clerical experience with keyboarding or document generation.
• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Finalists must pass background and fingerprint checks; driver history check for state vehicle positions.

Responsibilities

• Search database for existing participants and cases.
• Create or reopen participants and cases in the child support system.
• Review and process applications to ensure compliance with timeframes.
• Review and enter child support orders into the system.
• Handle mail, scan and file documents, and maintain records.
• Make and receive phone calls to gather information.
