You will mentor new teachers, help with hiring logistics, and, in the absence of the Director, assume opening/closing duties. The position emphasizes collaboration with families and a positive, active learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a licensed childcare facility leading a classroom and implementing lesson plans.
• Ability to meet state and accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Preferred college credits toward Early Childhood Education or Child Development or a CDA.
• Able to engage in physical activity with children indoors or outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Promote social, physical, and intellectual growth; lead classroom management and curriculum implementation.
• Communicate and build relationships with families to support child achievement and center success.
• Mentor and train new hires; create engaging learning experiences for preschool children.
• Cover Director or Assistant Director duties in their absence, including opening/closing the school.
• Ensure daily care of every child by following licensing guidelines and company standards.
