Job summary

Learning Care Group is seeking a Team Lead at a child care center to mentor teachers, lead classroom management, and implement the curriculum while ensuring high standards of daily care and safety.

You will promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of children, communicate with families, and step in for directors when needed, all while maintaining licensing guidelines and company standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a licensed childcare facility, leading a classroom and implementing lesson plans.
• College credits toward Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree or a CDA preferred.
• Ability to meet state and accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

• Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children in your care. Take the lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation. Classroom instruction is at least 50% of weekly schedule.
• Communicate and build relationships with families to promote achievement for the child and to support your center’s success.
• Be responsible for, or assist with, the management, training, and mentoring of new hires and your fellow teachers, creating fun, interactive learning experiences for preschoolers.
• Take on the duties of Director or Assistant Director in their absence, including opening and closing the school.
• Ensure the daily care of every child by following licensing guidelines and implementing company standards.
