Job summary

MV Transportation seeks a General Manager for the Cary location to provide leadership, direction, and operational oversight for the annual business plan. You will control daily contract operations, ensure fleet availability, safety, and regulatory compliance, and maintain strong client relations.

Responsibilities include staffing, budget creation, training oversight, performance metrics review, and collaboration with unions and support teams to optimize service delivery.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent business management experience.
• Management experience required.
• 5+ years in operations management and 7+ years in transit environment leadership with Trapeze.
• Labor/union negotiations/expenses expertise.
• Understanding of dispatch, scheduling, driver recruitment, and safety DOT/FTA compliance.
• MS Office, strong analytical and communication skills, multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Manage the assigned operating location and deliver annual business plans.
• Oversee daily operation of the transportation contract in compliance with policies.
• Manage customer relations and mentor location staff.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance, safety, and training programs.
• Maintain client contact and report on financial targets and metrics.
• Create and present location budgets and support contract renewals.
• Lead labor relations activities and coordinate with support teams.
