Job summary

RTX is seeking an SSBU Execution Chief Engineer to lead a portfolio of development and production programs, overseeing cost, schedule, and technical performance. You will manage risk, deliver on commitments, and drive program growth to maximize long-range value for the mission area.

The role involves establishing product vision, coordinating with customers and senior management, and guiding technical strategies across multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful execution and compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM degree and 14+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage a product vision, strategy, and goals to align with Programs/Customers and facilitate conflict resolution.
• Ensure technical integrity and engineering execution across the IPT and other functions to meet cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
• Primary technical point of contact with senior customer counterparts, internal senior program management and engineering leadership.
• Support the capture of new business and influence technical and product line roadmaps reflected in program planning and execution.
• Plan out and lead incremental development of upgrades and system improvements.
• Drive positive change within production as a key stakeholder in Failure Review Boards and FRACAS activities.
• Technically engage with major subcontractors and partners to ensure product deliverables.
• Direct a team of multi-disciplined engineers in support of projectile development.
• Provide technical advisory disposition for Export / Import (EXIM) compliance.
