RTX is seeking a decisive technical leader to head a Board Support Package software team in defense products, based in Cedar Rapids or El Segundo. You will guide talent development, drive cross-functional collaboration, and ensure craftsmanship from pursuit through sustainment while balancing cost and schedule.

The role requires a STEM degree with 7–10+ years in engineering leadership, embedded software, and program management, along with an active SECRET clearance and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Active SECRET clearance required prior to start date.
• 5+ years leading engineering teams with mentoring and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience in program execution, bidding, planning, EVM, risk management.
• 5+ years embedded software experience with embedded OS (Linux, VxWorks, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Lead BSP software team to meet cost, schedule, and technical goals.
• Coach engineers and support career growth within Collins Aerospace.
• Collaborate across functions to deliver BSP software solutions.
