Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer to lead embedded software requirements and system integration for missile programs. This on-site role offers collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams and customer interactions to ensure first-time-success across lifecycle stages.

The Senior Systems Engineer will manage MBSE, verification, and validation activities while guiding junior engineers and stakeholders, with occasional travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience.
• Experience in Systems Engineering
• Experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Requirements Development, Requirements Management, Requirements Verification, or Integration and Test for software products

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain all system and subsystem level requirements specifications for embedded software, configurable logic and/or test systems software
• Model the system and the system development and production processes using Cameo
• Conduct Trade Studies and present results to customers
• SE technical contributor for verification and validation efforts, ensuring all requirements are being assessed
• Work closely with the Systems, Software, Configurable Logic and Test teams on a variety of program technical tasks
• Participate in technical conversations with the customer
• Become a knowledgeable and 'go-to' Systems Engineer for the software centric program capabilities
• Help to onboard new team members, mentor, and guide them using core Systems Engineering skills
