Job summary

E-Space is seeking a Chief Systems Engineer to lead the space systems architecture, MBSE, and verification activities for a pioneering LEO IoT platform. You will own SRDs, ICDs, and the program's digital thread, driving cross-divisional collaboration across RF, power, structures, software, and semiconductors.

This role requires a seasoned leader with flight-project experience, strong requirements traceability, and a track record of defending baselines at design reviews.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive systems engineering experience in the space industry.
• Experience delivering a flight project from SRR through on-orbit operations.
• Direct accountability for requirements traceability and verification closure.

Responsibilities

• Own the System Requirements Document (SRD), ICDs, and resource budgets across the program lifecycle.
• Lead system-level trade studies spanning spacecraft, ground segment, and user terminal interfaces.
• Decompose system requirements to subsystem allocations and manage trade space across mass, power, pointing, and cost.
• Baseline ICDs and maintain configuration control through program gates.
• Own spacecraft-level electrical architecture and design standards; define the electrical ICD framework.
