Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field; master’s preferred.
• 15+ years with bachelor's or 12+ with master's, relevant aerospace experience.
• Experience with aerospace software systems across design, trade studies, development, testing, operations.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams to solve complex engineering problems.
• Familiarity with space mission architectures beyond satellites, including launch and flight operations.
• Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS.
• Experience with MBSE tools and methods.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage lead requirements, decomposition, traceability, validation and verification for satellite software and avionics subsystems.
• Develop system designs and conduct high‑level architecture trade studies.
• Plan and execute verification activities with matrices, test plans, and analyses.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure technical requirements are satisfied.
• Troubleshoot and resolve flight software anomalies.
• Provide autonomous solutions to complex engineering problems through direct work or delegation.
• Lead cross‑functional planning, integration, and task execution across engineering disciplines.
• Support spacecraft product roadmaps, including design adjustments, schedules, costs, and customer mission customization.
• Perform systems engineering to build, maintain, and evolve spacecraft products.
• Promote reuse of heritage platform designs and manufacturing infrastructure to reduce costs.
