Job summary

Gusto seeks a senior leader to own Risk & Money Services as a defined, regulated function. You will build governance, controls, SLAs, and reporting, partnering with Compliance, Legal, Engineering and Product to scale money movement with regulatory integrity.

This role leads Risk Operations, Dispute/Fraud Operations, and Money Services, guiding leaders who own end‑to‑end outcomes, driving real‑time decisions, and shaping scalable, auditable operations for growth.

Qualifications

• 12+ years leading financial services operations with regulated responsibilities.
• 7+ years as a senior leader running multi-disciplinary teams.
• Deep expertise in Reg E, BSA/AML, and payments risk management.
• Experience building scalable, auditable regulatory functions.

Responsibilities

• Own Risk & Money Services end to end, including fraud, payout decisions, compliance, and collections.
• Direct an organization across risk operations, dispute/fraud operations, and consumer money products.
• Stand up governance, SLAs, metrics, and reporting for a new regulated function.
• Make high‑stakes real‑time financial decisions impacting customers and the business.
• Lead Reg E compliance posture and BSA/AML operational response with cross‑functional partners.
• Build and scale SOPs, controls, audit readiness, and workforce management.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Compliance, Legal, and Risk to align priorities.
