Job summary

Gusto is seeking a Head of Risk & Money Services to own real-time risk decisioning, Reg E dispute operations, and the regulatory posture of the money movement stack. You will build governance, SLAs, and the reporting framework for a function being stood up within Gusto's Financial Services group.

You'll lead a cross‑functional team across Risk Operations, Dispute, and Money Services, partnering with Compliance, Legal, Engineering, and Product to scale responsibly.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of industry experience leading financial services operations in banking, payments, money movement, fraud and risk.
• 7+ years as a departmental leader running large, multi-disciplinary financial services operations teams.
• Deep expertise in banking and money movement operations, including Reg E dispute processing and BSA/AML.

Responsibilities

• Own Risk & Money Services end to end: fraud and payment risk decisioning, BSA/AML, Reg E dispute operations, collections, and the operational backbone of Gusto's money products.
• Lead a multi-disciplinary regulated financial services organization through leaders who own their function end to end.
• Stand up Risk & Money Services as a defined operational function with governance, SLAs, and reporting infrastructure.
• Own the highest-stakes real-time financial decisions in Gusto's customer operations.
• Represent Risk & Money Services externally to sponsor banks, regulators, and auditors.
