Job summary

Gusto seeks a seasoned leader to own Risk & Money Services within its Financial Services group. You will drive real‑time decisioning, compliance, and the expanded consumer money product portfolio, partnering with Compliance, Legal, Engineering and Product to scale responsibly.

You will build SLAs, governance, and reporting for a newly formalized function, while guiding a team through growth, risk controls, and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership in regulated financial services environments.
• Deep expertise in Reg E disputes, BSA/AML, and fraud operations.
• Experience with real‑time money movement and risk decisioning.
• Background in consumer financial products and sponsorship bank relations.

Responsibilities

• Own Risk & Money Services end‑to‑end including fraud, risk decisioning, and regulatory posture.
• Lead a multi‑disciplinary team across risk ops, dispute/fraud ops, and consumer money products.
• Stand up governed functions with SLAs, controls, metrics, and audit readiness.
• Make high‑stakes real‑time financial decisions impacting customers and business.
• Own Reg E compliance posture at the operational level with Legal and Compliance partners.
• Drive AI‑native transformations while maintaining regulatory accountability.
