Job summary

Step Up is seeking a visionary Chief Revenue Officer to design and execute a comprehensive revenue strategy. The role leads fundraising growth from $4M to $6M by 2030, expanding diverse streams, planned giving, and government funding while pursuing local and state support.

The CRO will align revenue initiatives with Step Up’s mission, manage a growing team, and report to the CEO and Board in a remote-first, city-connected environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of nonprofit fundraising leadership experience.
• Proven track record closing six- and seven-figure gifts.
• Experience building planned giving and endowment programs.
• Strong knowledge of government funding and grant management.
• Exceptional communication and storytelling to secure support.
• Ability to lead a diverse revenue portfolio across multiple channels.
• Experience with board governance and donor stewardship.
• Strategic thinker able to translate mission into funding strategy.
• Remote-friendly with collaborative leadership style.
• Commitment to advancing young women from underserved communities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-year growth plan to scale revenue to $6M by 2030.
• Oversee Individual Giving, Corporate Philanthropy, Events, Government Funding and Foundations.
• Serve on executive leadership with CEO and Board.
• Grow six- to seven-figure multi-year corporate partnerships.
• Set KPIs, with forecasting and pipeline reporting.
• Design and manage planned giving and endowment strategies.
• Ensure compliance on public grants and contracts.
• Cultivate relationships with donors, officials, and funders.
• Lead a high-performing revenue team and donor stewardship.
• Collaborate with communications and programs for alignment.
