Job summary

Vantage Point Solutions seeks a Director of Power Generation - Electrical to lead the electrical power generation engineering practice. You will guide technical strategy, ensure PE of Record for designs, and oversee project delivery for conventional and renewable generation, microgrids, and interconnection studies.

You'll mentor engineers, drive business development with utilities and cooperatives, and align services with grid modernization trends while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems for power generation facilities.
• Strong understanding of generator design, interconnection, grid integration, and protection systems.
• Experience with gas, renewable, distributed generation, and microgrid facilities.
• PE licensure and ability to serve as Engineer of Record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the power generation engineering department.
• Act as a key client contact and support business development.
• Oversee electrical engineering design of power generation facilities and studies.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NESC, IEEE, NFPA, NERC, FERC, and client standards.
• Lead team mentorship, staffing, and performance monitoring.
