Job summary

Advantage Technical is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead technical efforts on complex power generation projects. The role requires strong engineering leadership in power generation, utilities, or large-scale energy projects, with experience supporting fossil-fuel plants and related initiatives.

The position is client-facing, working with clients, consulting engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Experience in power generation, electric utilities, fossil-fuel power plants, or large-scale power/energy projects.
• Experience in engineering lead, project engineering, or design leadership capacity.
• Ability to coordinate multiple engineering disciplines and technical resources.
• Experience in design/build, EPC, or complex project execution environments.
• Strong client-facing skills with the ability to develop productive relationships with customers, contractors, engineers, designers, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the engineering team leader for assigned power generation projects, coordinating technical activities throughout project execution.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager, Project Planner, Subcontract Manager, Project Design Lead, and engineering teams to execute projects.
• Act as the primary engineering representative to clients regarding technical and engineering matters.
• Develop relationships with clients, consulting engineers, subcontractors, third-party firms, designers, and equipment suppliers.
• Ensure engineering activities and designs comply with contract specs, codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor engineering activities and scope of work for projects.
