Job summary

Vantage Data Centers seeks a Director of Power Generation Strategy to lead North America on-site and behind-the-meter power initiatives, IPP partnerships, and generation technology strategy. You will shape acquisition plans, evaluate technology choices, and coordinate with executives to align power strategy with data center growth.

The role requires deep experience in power generation, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and the ability to influence senior leaders across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy, Economics, Business, or related field.
• 10+ years in power generation or related roles.
• Experience negotiating IPP/BTM partnerships and energy transactions.

Responsibilities

• Own IPP partnerships, generation procurement strategy, technology, and SMR strategy.
• Develop on-site and behind-the-meter power generation strategies.
• Evaluate generation technologies against feasibility, cost, and timelines.
• Define and standardize generation strategy frameworks across markets.
• Prepare executive materials on feasibility, cost, risks, and recommendations.
• Lead external engagement with IPPs, developers, OEMs, and regulators.
• Travel up to 25–30% as required.
