Job summary
Vantage Point Solutions is seeking a Substation Engineering Lead (PE) to provide technical leadership and project oversight for electric utility substation projects. You will design, review, and seal substation work, mentor engineers, and coordinate with clients and field teams to deliver on time and within budget.
The role requires a PE license, ABET-accredited power-focused degree, and 10+ years in substation design with 2+ years in leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or higher degree in Electrical Engineering with power focus.
- Active PE license and ability to licensure in other states.
- Minimum 10 years in electric utility substation design/engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of engineering leadership with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of substation design, protection & controls, grounding, SCADA, and utility practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee multiple substation projects from planning to commissioning.
- Perform QA/QC reviews across all project phases.
- Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery compliant with codes and standards.
- Develop scopes, schedules, budgets, and cost estimates for projects.
- Mentor engineers and foster technical excellence within the team.
