Job summary

Cincinnati VA Medical Service is seeking a Physician - Physiatrist to serve as Chief of the PM&R Service. The role includes planning, directing, and coordinating all aspects of a multifaceted service such as Physiatry, PT, OT, pain management, TBI/polytrauma, spinal cord injury, and amputee services.

The incumbent will oversee clinical governance, credentialing, staff supervision, education, and quality/safety initiatives while ensuring compliance with VHA policies and promotion of

Qualifications

• US citizenship or eligible for appointment per VA policy.
• MD/DO degree from a school approved by VA for the year completed.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the US or DC.
• Residency training approved by VA/ACGME or AOA for board eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Directs PM&R service and related services to optimize functional recovery.
• Complete timely documentation in EHR with reminders and templates.
• Coordinate with other specialists for advanced interventions as needed.
• Oversee care lines, credentialing, privileging, staff supervision and quality initiatives.
• Ensure veteran-centered care and compliance with VHA policies.
