Job summary
The Marion VA Medical Center in Illinois is seeking a full-time Physiatrist to join the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Service Line. The position focuses on inpatient/outpatient PM&R care and leadership within the PM&R program.
The successful candidate will provide consults, lead neurodiagnostic evaluations, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive rehabilitation services to veterans. Board-certified/eligible physicians are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
- Must possess current, full and unrestricted US medical license.
- MD degree from a school approved by VA for the year completed.
- Board eligibility or certification in an accredited core specialty.
Responsibilities
- Provides physiatric consultation to the Short Stay Rehabilitation program.
- Leads neurodiagnostic testing/evaluations and PM&R programs (Polytrauma/TBI).
- Manages inpatient and outpatient PM&R clinics and related duties.
- Provides guidance to mid-level practitioners and participates in program development.
