Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Cincinnati seeks a Supervisory Speech Pathologist as the Chief of PM&R to oversee planning, development, and operations of the PM&R service across the Cincinnati VA Medical Center and affiliated sites.

The role requires advanced clinical leadership, budget management, and collaboration with VISN and national leadership to ensure high-quality rehabilitation services aligned with VHA standards.

Qualifications

• Master's degree (or equivalent) in speech-language pathology, communication disorders, or related field with one year of creditable experience
• Doctoral degree in speech-language pathology, communication disorders and sciences, or related field from an accredited program
• Full current and unrestricted state licensure in the United States

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate all aspects of PM&R service across the facility and multiple sites
• Provide clinical and administrative oversight of service operations within a large, complex medical center
• Manage budgeting, financial planning, procurement, and contracting for the Service
• Collaborate with local VISN and national leadership and communicate with staff at all levels
• Lead workforce planning, performance management, and development of staff via training and affiliations
• Oversee accreditation and compliance with standards for rehabilitation programs
