Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ Marion VA Medical Center is seeking a full-time Physiatrist to join the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Service Line. The role includes PM&R consultation, lead duties for Polytrauma/TBI, and coordination of inpatient/outpatient care within the VA system.

The candidate must have an MD/DO, VA-acceptable residency, and an unrestricted US medical license, with proficiency in English. Competitive salary and federal benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• US citizenship and eligibility for VA employment.
• MD/DO degree from an approved school.
• Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine.
• Residency training approved by VA for board eligibility.
• Board certification or eligibility (PRP exceptions may apply).
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Provide physiatric consultation to the Short Stay Rehabilitation program.
• Lead for the PM&R department's Polytrauma/TBI program; manage in-/outpatient clinics.
• Contribute to inpatient/outpatient care and administrative duties as assigned.
• Adhere to clinical practice guidelines and participate in PM&R multidisciplinary activities.
• Supervise mid-level practitioners and contribute to program development.
