Job summary

The Department of Veterans Affairs in Cincinnati seeks a Physician in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation to provide inpatient and outpatient PM&R services, with potential support for anesthesia and cross-line collaboration. The role emphasizes patient-centered Whole Health, shared decision-making, and integrative options aligned with Veterans' goals.

Responsibilities include clinical, administrative, academic, and research aspects of the PM&R program.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an approved school.
• Current, full and unrestricted medical license in the US.
• Residency training in an accredited core specialty.
• Board eligibility or certification; faculty status may require board cert.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify the Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation service within clinics (Pain Management, interventional procedures).
• Deliver PM&R care to Veterans, including MSK eval, amputee management, EMG/NCS, and interventional pain.
• Collaborate with Nursing and Rehab teams to meet goals and improve outcomes.
• Adhere to physician schedules, documentation, referrals, and facility guidelines.
• Participate in Grand Rounds, accreditation activities, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Fulfill CME requirements and provide patient-centered care aligned with VA rewards.
