Job summary

ContinueCARE Hospital at Baptist Health Paducah in Paducah, KY seeks a Chief Nursing Officer to lead day-to-day nursing operations in our 37-bed LTACH. The CNO reports to the CEO and ensures staffing, competency, and regulatory compliance to meet complex patient needs.

As part of the leadership team, the CNO will drive quality initiatives, manage budgets, and develop talent while creating an ownership culture and a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of assigned hospital’s location.
• Minimum of three years of direct patient care experience in a LTACH or acute care setting; LTACH experience highly desirable.
• Nursing management experience for at least two years (e.g., nursing manager, director or CNO).
• Must live within 30 miles of the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing operations and clinical staff; ensure staffing levels meet patient needs.
• Promote quality of care and align with ANA Standards of Practice.
• Develop, coordinate, and evaluate clinical programs and services; drive quality initiatives.
• Set clear goals, hold staff accountable, and foster a positive work environment.
