Aecon Engineering Services Inc. (United) seeks a Chief Discipline Engineer to lead the mechanical and piping engineering and design teams for nuclear power projects in the U.S.

The role requires strong leadership, PE licensure, and the ability to develop robust design bases, manage staffing, and drive performance. You will collaborate with the Director of Engineering to implement company objectives, guide discipline processes, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements across

Qualifications

• 12 years of engineering experience with at least 5 years in supervisory capacity designing conventional and/or nuclear power plants.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills with ability to develop and guide discipline teams.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license with comity or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Develop work processes, tools and knowledge resources to improve discipline performance.
• Staffing the discipline and managing project staffing based on workload forecasts.
• Provide technical guidance and ensure quality conformance with project objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Lead collection and evaluation of project performance data and lessons learned.
• Assist in development of succession planning and talent development within the discipline.
• Guide department in interpreting codes and permitting processes related to the discipline.
