Job summary

Aecon Engineering Services Inc., the former United Engineers and Constructors, an Aecon Company, is seeking Project Engineering Managers to oversee engineering and design for nuclear generating stations, including SMRs and uprates. Lead the project engineering effort with clients, partners, and a team of engineers and designers across conceptual to detailed design phases.

You will guide staff, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and ensure compliance and safety in a complex EPC environment.

Qualifications

  • B.S. Engineering Degree from an accredited university.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license in any state.
  • Minimum 12 years of nuclear plant engineering and design experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Ability to manage engineering elements of large EPC projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering management and guidance to staff.
  • Plan and manage activities to ensure safety, quality, schedule and budget.
  • Demonstrate project leadership in area of responsibility.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks among project staff.
  • Monitor activities and proactively address project issues.
  • Coordinate with other groups for integrated project execution.
  • Ensure understanding of scope and contract requirements.
  • Act as the responsible PE where work is based.
  • Manage engineering schedule and cost performance.
  • Support status reporting to clients or management.
