Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 6 years design engineering experience in power generation, nuclear power or heavy industrial; leadership preferred.
• PE license required.
• Advanced knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
• Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Travel up to 10% of time; vary with project needs.
• Ability to motivate the team and lead with a positive style.
• Experience with high-level decision making and oversight of technical work.
• Ability to obtain unescorted access to a nuclear power plant.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and motivation to engineering teams to meet project goals.
• Interface with clients to ensure quality and deadlines on design projects.
• Lead internal mechanical engineering efforts and delegate project roles.
• Prepare design studies, scopes, and engineering estimates.
• Guide mechanical system procurement specs, evaluate bids, and select equipment.
• Provide technical guidance for complex mechanical design and calculations.
• Travel for field walkdowns, installations, and start-up activities.
