Job summary

Jackson Lewis P.C. invites a seasoned Director, Infrastructure to lead strategic planning, design, governance, and delivery of the firm’s technology backbone across 60+ locations.

You will align security, availability, and modernization with business needs and legal service delivery, reporting to IT leadership and collaborating with executives. You will drive cloud adoption, data center operations, end-user platforms, and vendor management while building resilient, cost-effective infrastructure

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT experience across infrastructure, cloud, network, or enterprise operations.
• 5+ years in a leadership role with strategic planning, people leadership, service delivery, budgets, vendor management, and project execution.
• Experience in a law firm, legal services organization, or professional services environment preferred, with emphasis on confidentiality and risk.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft cloud services, Azure/hybrid cloud, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, identity and access management, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Defender, Purview, Windows Server, virtualization, storage, backup, networking, and data center operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop a multi-year infrastructure and cloud services roadmap aligned with strategy, budget, growth, and service expectations.
• Lead design, governance, delivery, and support of core infrastructure services (Microsoft cloud, data centers, servers, storage, networking).
• Drive modernization toward secure, scalable, cloud-enabled platforms with proper controls for confidentiality and compliance.
• Oversee Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, Defender, Purview and related services with governance and cost management.
• Ensure reliable connectivity across offices and remote users with LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, firewall, DNS, DHCP, identity management, and segmentation practices.
• Establish infrastructure standards, runbooks, KPIs, SLAs, and executive reporting on reliability and risk.
• Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning for infrastructure services.
• Collaborate with Security, Records, Compliance, Applications, Practice Technology, Knowledge Management, Litigation Support, Training, Office Administration, and Service Desk teams.
• Support readiness of new offices, site expansions, integrations, and major technology transitions.
• Ensure platforms meet cybersecurity specs, policies, client requirements, audit and regulatory obligations.
• Participate in incident, problem, and change management with testing, approvals, back-out planning, and post-implementation reviews.
• Mentor teams and MSP resources, enforcing priorities, documentation, service standards, and continuous improvement.
• Manage strategic vendors, contracts, SLAs, renewals, and cost optimization.
• Develop and manage infrastructure budgets with IT and Finance.
