Job summary

Voyager Technologies, Inc. seeks a Chief Engineer for Strategic Systems in Reno, NV, with responsibility for end‑to‑end mission success of solid rocket propulsion programs. You will manage large, multidisciplinary teams and oversee design reviews, qualifications, and budget adherence.

The role requires strong technical leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance. Remote/hybrid options and travel are possible depending on program needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or other relevant engineering discipline with 15 years of engineering experience and 5+ years of technical leadership in solid rocket motors (SRMs).
• Able to direct the end‑to‑end technical lifecycle of the program by leading cross‑functional teams through rigorous design reviews and qualification milestones, ensuring producible, compliant systems within cost and schedule constraints.
• Able to lead the engineering team in meeting all program milestones by maintaining a rigorous focus on the critical path and resource management.

Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end mission success of SRM programs by managing large multidisciplinary teams.
• Direct cross‑functional teams through design reviews, qualification milestones, and budget/schedule alignment.
• Be the primary technical spokesperson for the program and manage customer expectations with data‑driven options.
