Job summary

Youth For Christ USA Inc. seeks a Chief Development Officer to lead the chapter’s comprehensive development strategy, stewarding donor relations and coordinating funding across ministry sites. The role demands strong communication, relational leadership, and a passion for ministry growth.

The position focuses on planning, engagement with major partners, external communications, branding, and training staff and volunteers to implement the development plan with excellence across SYFC programs.

Qualifications

• Must enjoy building relationships and talking on the telephone.
• Public facing role and donor engagement experience.
• Proven track record in partner recruitment and relationship cultivation.
• Ability to inspire and mobilize staff to meet goals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing the annual development plan (Find, Win, Keep, Lift) and resource ministry areas.
• Develop and manage a portfolio of 40–50 ministry partner relationships with emphasis on major gifts.
• Oversee external communications, branding, social media, and website updates.
• Lead staff development and training, and coordinate events and donor appreciation activities.
• Coordinate grant inquiries and fundraising efforts with Executive Director and staff.
