Job summary

Junior State of America seeks a Chief Development Officer to lead fundraising strategy and develop a sustainable revenue model. You will partner with the CEO, board, and staff to reach ambitious goals and expand development income.

The role supervises the Development Manager and contractors, advancing donor cultivation, foundations outreach, and corporate relations to support growth and impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 5+ years in fund development; 2+ years in management.
• Experience with donors, foundations, boards, and executive leadership.
• Experience using CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
• Strong track record of meeting ambitious fundraising goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive fundraising strategy to grow revenue.
• Lead major donor, foundation, corporate and alumni engagement.
• Oversee grants, reporting, and communications with funders.
• Manage staff and contractors; ensure compliance and ethics.
