Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions, in collaboration with a premier global litigation firm, seeks a Chief Data Privacy Officer to lead the worldwide privacy program. This executive role reports directly to the General Counsel and serves as the principal authority on global data privacy, governance, and cross-border risk.

The successful candidate will work with senior leadership across a global platform of 30+ offices, directing privacy strategy, DSAR programs, DPIAs, and vendor privacy assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Advanced degree in Law or Information Privacy is required.
• 7+ years of progressive privacy, data governance, or related experience.
• Experience leading a global privacy program in a large enterprise or law firm.
• Deep expertise in GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA/CPRA; CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM certifications.
• JD from an accredited law school strongly preferred; prior law firm experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the firm's primary advisor on global privacy laws and regulatory developments.
• Lead privacy strategy and partner with GC and leadership on risk and governance.
• Manage DSAR programs and regulatory response obligations globally.
• Direct privacy incident response, breach assessments, and notifications.
• Oversee RoPA, data inventories, and data flow mappings.
• Lead client privacy audits and responses to outside counsel guidelines.
