Job summary

Leadenhall Search & Selection is seeking a senior Privacy & Data Protection leader to own the global privacy programme. This high-visibility role reports to senior leadership, with potential to operate at Chief Privacy Officer level.

You will lead cross-functional teams across Product, Technology, Data and Security, develop practical privacy frameworks, and advise on GDPR/UK GDPR and US privacy laws to align data use with business goals.

Qualifications

J.D. or equivalent with active U.S. state bar.
15+ years in privacy and regulatory matters.
Experience leading privacy programs in data-controller orgs.
Strong knowledge of GDPR/UK GDPR and U.S. privacy laws.
Experience partnering with Product, Engineering, Data and Security teams.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the organisation's global privacy and data protection programme.
Provide strategic and practical advice on privacy, data protection and the use of personal and sensitive data.
Advise on data collection, use, sharing, retention and governance, particularly where the organisation acts as a data controller.
Advise Product, Technology, Data and Security teams on privacy throughout the product lifecycle.
Develop practical privacy frameworks, policies and processes aligned with business objectives.
Advise senior leadership on GDPR, UK GDPR, U.S. privacy laws and emerging global requirements.
Oversee privacy risk assessments, privacy-by-design initiatives and regulatory engagement where required.
Build privacy awareness and accountability across the organisation.
