Job summary

PlayOn Sports is seeking a strategic VP of Cloud Operations to consolidate Cloud Engineering, SRE, and DevOps into a single, high-performing organization. You will own platform reliability for live streaming and ticketing platforms on AWS, with clearly defined SLOs, SLIs, and budgets.

Reporting to the CTO, you’ll partner with Engineering, Security, Product, and Data leadership to modernize cloud deployments and drive a FinOps-driven culture, including a self-service platform built with Terraform

Qualifications

• 10+ years in infrastructure, platform, or SRE with leadership experience
• Proven track record consolidating Cloud Eng, SRE, and DevOps
• Hands-on production workloads on AWS at scale across multiple accounts/regions

Responsibilities

• Stand up and lead a unified Cloud Infrastructure organization
• Own cloud architecture strategy across AWS accounts and regions
• Define, instrument, and track SLOs/SLIs and incident response processes
• Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code and self-service dev platforms
• Own CI/CD strategy and deployment standards with engineering leadership
• Lead FinOps program for cost visibility and optimization across AWS
