Job summary

WatchGuard Technologies seeks an experienced Vice President of Cloud Operations to lead global cloud and infrastructure platforms for our SaaS products. This executive will drive reliability, scalability, security, and cost effectiveness across cloud and hybrid environments.

The role partners with Product, R&D, Finance, Security, and business leadership to scale platforms, improve customer experience, and strengthen cloud unit economics while guiding a high-impact, globally distributed team.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in Cloud Operations or Infrastructure Operations with global teams.
• Experience leading SaaS or cloud-based software environments.
• Deep expertise in public cloud (AWS and/or Azure) and hybrid setups.
• Proven FinOps, cloud cost optimization, and product-level cloud economics experience.
• Ability to partner with senior Product and R&D leaders and influence architecture.
• Experience managing infrastructure budgets and delivering cost efficiency.
• Experience supporting technology integration through M&A.
• Strong knowledge of observability, automation, reliability engineering, and security.

Responsibilities

• Lead global Cloud Operations, infrastructure, and platform operations across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Ensure platforms are highly available, secure, scalable, and cost effective.
• Establish SLAs, observability, incident management, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
• Drive automation and engineering-led operations to reduce manual work and risk.
• Partner with Product and R&D to align infrastructure strategy with roadmaps and business priorities.
• Define operational and economic metrics for cloud-based products and services.
• Own FinOps strategy, cost targets, and visibility into product-level cloud economics.
• Lead a globally distributed organization with clear ownership and measurable outcomes.
• Drive mergers & acquisitions cloud integration, platform consolidation, and cost optimization.
• Develop and execute a multi-year Cloud Operations strategy aligned with business goals.
• Manage cloud budgets with forecasting and investment discipline.
• Provide executive visibility into reliability, risk, and cloud consumption.
