Job summary

ServiceNow seeks a Chief Architect for Veza within its Security & Risk organization to shape the architecture of the identity and AI agent security platform. You will own the end-to-end architecture and drive governance across teams while guiding executives and customers.

Based in San Diego, CA, you will mentor architects, define scalable graph-based data models, and set integration patterns with ServiceNow, steering a modernization program for an AI-native platform strategy.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in software engineering, with 5+ years as staff/principal/chief architect.
• Experience designing multi-tenant, cloud-native SaaS at enterprise scale.
• Hands-on Kubernetes and AWS cloud experience; IaC and SRE practices.
• Strong background in graph databases and data structures (Neo4j).
• Executive-level communication; ability to defend architecture decisions.
• Experience influencing across teams and geographies (US, EU, India).
• Proficiency in Python and Go or Java.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end architecture of the Veza platform and services.
• Lead data architecture with a graph-native data model at scale.
• Define architecture for non-human identity and AI agent security.
• Set AI architecture for Veza's agents and features; multi-vendor LLM strategy.
• Modernize the integrations framework to support 300+ integrations.
• Define integration model and surface patterns for ServiceNow alignment.
• Govern architecture across teams with reviews, debt management, and buy/when decisions.
• Raise engineering standards with AI coding agents, testing, and SRE.
