Job summary

ServiceNow is seeking a seasoned Staff Backend Engineer to architect and deliver AI-assisted access security features for the Veza Identity solution, building secure, scalable backend services and enterprise-grade workflows.

You will work with cross-functional teams, apply AI integration, and lead architecture and reviews, requiring Go and Python proficiency, 10+ years in backend development, and a track record of delivering complex enterprise software.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in backend software development for enterprise production software.
• Experience architecting secure, scalable backend services for complex systems.
• Strong proficiency in Go and Python, with architectural vision.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, develop, optimize, and maintain Access Security features with AI integration.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering leaders to balance innovation and performance.
• Lead architecture reviews, code reviews, and testing to ensure high quality releases.
• Mentor other engineers and drive continuous improvement in testing and production readiness.
• Own end-to-end delivery from design to release and operations.
